About Outreach Partners
These are the friends of BBBS who let us grow to reach more children by helping us 'meet good people through good people.' Their contribution is essential. We thank them all! |
Why we do it...
"I didn't think I could do this.”

Through Bowl For Kids' Sake, Michelle Kapp, has surrounded her Big coworkers with a work-place of support!
In her own words:
"One thing you should know is that I am not a Big and I've never been to a COUL event.
"I was accepted to be a Big, but it became evident to me that I couldn't commit the time and I didn't want to let a child down. So, I declined being matched.
"Then I was called to be one of the first members of COUL. That REALLY excited me… only the events all start at 5:30 p.m. and I am not out of work until 6:00 p.m.
"As an Outreach Partner, I've been sitting on the sidelines waiting and wishing I could make a bigger impact on the organization.

"Bowl for Kids’ Sake seemed like a perfect opportunity for me to show my support in a different way. When I asked some coworkers, fifteen people in my office including the founder and Managing Director of the firm became excited to bowl this year. We're all looking forward to it.
"My coworker, Ivy, has been a Big Sister for about a year. Another coworker, Joe, has been a Big Brother for over 8 years. When he met his Little, the boy was just 9 years old. Now, he’s 17, a 2nd degree black belt, and signed up for the Marines!"

Thanks to Michelle, a work place has embraced Big Brothers Big Sisters as an organization, but more importantly as people they work with every day.
