Still a classic! I've read this book several times, and each time I dig into another layer of subtle intricacy that feels like clarity. I purchased a copy for each member of my staff and will consider it standard issue for all new employees.
First time readers will enjoy the "tools" Covey offers in each chapter. Second time readers will start to see the interdependent and developmental nature of the habits - building one's self in order to build one's relationships in all areas of life. More committed readers will begin to subtly weave this culture into the organization they lead - either from the top or middle.
Now... It's not an easy read. It takes concentration and small bites. But, if you make it part of a long-term strengthening program, you won't feel pressured to blast through. I've had team members who report reading a portion three and four times to finally get it all - to truly internalize these principles. But I also see the difference in their approach and performance.
